Set selector lever 1 to position P, switch on the ignition.

To move the selector lever out of position P, you must press the brake pedal before pressing release button 2.

Press the brake pedal (warning lamp 3 on the display goes out) and move the lever out of position P.

The selector lever can only be moved to position D or R when the vehicle is stationary. Release the accelerator pedal first, then press the brake pedal.
