~4min read
Parkowanie ze wspomaganiem

This function helps carry out parking manoeuvres.

Take your hands off the steering wheel. Only the pedals and gear lever need to be operated.

You can take back control at any time by taking hold of the steering wheel.

Activating the function

Włączanie funkcji

Press switch 1 when the vehicle is stationary or travelling at a speed of approximately 30 km/h.

The indicator lamp built into switch 1 comes on and screen 2 appears on the multifunction display.

Special cases

Przypadki szczególne

Make sure the ultrasonic sensors marked with arrows 3 are not covered (dirt, mud, snow, etc.).

Selecting a manoeuvre

The system can perform four types of manoeuvre:

  • reverse parking into an available space;
  • perpendicular parking in a row of vehicles;
  • angled parking of the vehicle;
  • reversing out of a parking space.

Select the required manoeuvre on the multifunction display.

Note: after starting the vehicle or after successfully parking in a parallel space using the system, the manoeuvre proposed by default is assisted exit from a parking space.

In other cases, set the default manoeuvre on the multifunction display.

Operating principle

Parking

While the vehicle speed does not exceed 30 km/h, the system searches for available parking spaces on both sides of the vehicle.

When a free space is detected, it is marked with a small "P" on the multifunction display. For the system to detect a parking space, drive slowly with the indicator on the side of the space being searched for until the message "Stop" appears and a warning beep sounds.

The space is then marked with a large "P" on the multifunction display.

  • Stop the vehicle;
  • engage reverse gear.

The warning lamp appears on the instrument panel, accompanied by a
warning beep;

  • release the steering wheel;
  • follow the system instructions shown on the multifunction display.

The speed must not exceed 7 km/h.

Warning lamp goes outthe
instrument panel and a beep indicate that the manoeuvre is complete.

Reversing out of a parking space

Wyjazd z miejsca parkingowego tyłem

  • Select the "Parallel exit" mode;
  • activate the indicator on the side the vehicle is to exit to;
  • press and hold switch 1 (approximately 2 seconds).

The warning lamp appears on the instrument panel, accompanied by a
warning beep;

  • release the steering wheel;
  • carry out the forward and reverse manoeuvre, following the parking assist system warnings.

The speed must not exceed 7 km/h.

Once the vehicle is in a suitable position to drive away, the system displays a message that the manoeuvre is complete.

Warning lamp goes outthe
instrument panel and a beep indicate that the manoeuvre is complete.

Suspending the manoeuvre

The manoeuvre is suspended in the following cases:

  • the driver takes control of the steering wheel;
  • a door or the boot lid is opened;
  • the vehicle remains stationary for too long;
  • an obstacle in the path prevents the manoeuvre from being completed;
  • the engine is switched off.

Warning lamp goes outthe
instrument panel and a warning beep indicate that the manoeuvre has been suspended. To resume the manoeuvre, press and hold the switch that activates the system.

In this case, the reason for the suspension is shown on the multifunction display.

Make sure that:

  • the steering wheel is released;
  • all doors and the tailgate are closed;
  • there is no obstacle in the path of the vehicle;
  • the engine is running.

Cancelling the manoeuvre

The manoeuvre is interrupted in the following cases:

  • pressing the system on/off button;
  • exceeding 7 km/h;
  • making more than ten forward/reverse movements during the manoeuvre;
  • the parking assist sensors are dirty or covered;
  • the vehicle wheels lose grip (wheel slip).

Warning lamp goes outthe
instrument panel and a beep indicate that the manoeuvre is complete.

This function is an additional driving aid. It in no way replaces the driver, who must remain attentive and is responsible for keeping full control of the vehicle.

Check that the manoeuvre complies with the applicable road traffic regulations on the roads concerned.

  • The driver must always be prepared for sudden events while driving: when manoeuvring, watch for moving obstacles (such as a child, animal, pushchair, bicycle, etc.) or small obstacles (stone, post, etc.).
  • The system may not detect objects located in the blind spots of the sensors.
  • During manoeuvres the steering wheel may turn quickly: do not put your hands through it and make sure that no object can become trapped there.
  • Always check that the parking space suggested by the system is available and free of obstacles.
  • The system must only be used when towing a trailer or when driving with a luggage carrier fitted.
