To unlock, move the key and steering wheel slightly.

"Accessories" position A

Ignition off, any accessories (radio, etc.) continue to operate.

"Ignition on" position M

The ignition is switched on:

  • petrol version: the vehicle is ready to start;
  • diesel version: the engine is preheating.

"Start" position D

If the engine does not start, return the key to the previous position before operating the starter again. Release the key as soon as the engine starts.

Note: on diesel versions, there may be a delay of a few seconds between turning the key and the engine starting, to allow the engine to preheat.

In the "Accessories" or "Ignition on" position, a system may automatically switch off certain vehicle accessories depending on the battery charge level, to prevent it from fully discharging.
