Speed limiter

Cruise control and speed limiter: speed limiter function
The speed limiter is a function that helps you not to exceed a driving speed that you have chosen, called the limited speed.

Controls
- Main ON/OFF switch.
- Activation, memorising and incremental increase of the limited speed (+).
- Activates, stores and decreases the limited speed (-).
- Turns the function off (with the limited speed stored) (O).
- Activates, stores and recalls the stored limited speed (R).
Activation

Activation
Press switch 1 on the side
. The warning light
lights up orange on the instrument panel and the message "limiter" appears, with dashes, to indicate that the speed limiter is active and waiting for a limit speed to be stored.
To store the current speed, press switch 2 (+) or 3 (-). The limited speed replaces the dashes.
The minimum speed that can be stored will be 30 km/h.

Driving
Once a limited speed is stored, until that speed is reached, driving is the same as in a vehicle without a speed limiter.
Once you reach the stored speed, pressing the accelerator pedal will not allow the programmed speed to be exceeded, except when needed (see the section "Exceeding the limited speed").
Changing the limited speed
You can change the limited speed by pressing the following switches in turn:
- switch 2 (+) to increase the speed;
- switch 3 (-) to decrease the speed.
Exceeding the limited speed
The limited speed can be exceeded at any time: press the accelerator pedal firmly to the floor (beyond the "kickdown point").
While the vehicle is exceeding the set speed, the cruise speed flashes on the instrument panel.
Then release the accelerator pedal: the speed limiter function resumes once you drop below the stored speed.
Function unable to maintain the limited speed
On a steep downhill, the system cannot maintain the limited speed: the memorised speed flashes on the instrument panel to inform you.

Standby mode for the function
The speed limiter function goes into standby when you press switch 4 (O). In this case the limited speed remains stored, and the message "stored" together with the stored speed appears on the instrument panel.
Recalling the limited speed
If a speed is stored, it can be recalled by pressing control 5 (R).
When the limiter is in standby, pressing switch 2 (+) or switch 3 (-) reactivates the function without taking the stored speed into account: the vehicle's current speed is used.
Cancelling the function

Turning the function off
The speed limiter function is cancelled when you press switch 1. In this case, no speed remains stored. The orange warning light
on the instrument panel goes out, confirming that the function is off.
