Cruise control

Cruise control and speed limiter: cruise control function
Cruise control is a function that helps you maintain your driving speed at a constant value that you have chosen, called the set speed.
This cruise speed can be adjusted continuously from 30 km/h.
! The cruise control function does not act on the braking system under any circumstances. ! This function is an additional driving aid. However, the function does not take the place of the driver. It can therefore never replace compliance with speed limits, attentiveness (always be ready to brake in all circumstances), or the driver's responsibility. Cruise control must not be used in heavy traffic, on winding or slippery roads (black ice, aquaplaning, loose chippings), or in adverse weather conditions (fog, rain, crosswinds, etc.). Risk of accident.
Controls
- Main ON/OFF switch.
- Activation, memorising and incremental increase of the set speed (+).
- Activates, stores and decreases the cruise speed (-).
- Turns the function off (with the cruise speed stored) (O).
- Turns the function off (with the cruise speed stored) (O).
Activation

Activation
Press switch 1 on the side
.
Indicator 6 lights up green and the message "cruise" appears on the instrument panel, with dashes, to indicate that the cruise control function is active and waiting for a cruise speed to be stored.
Activating cruise control

Setting the cruise speed
At a stabilised speed (above approximately 30 km/h), press control 2 (+) or 3 (-): the function is activated and the current speed is memorised.
The cruise speed replaces the dashes, and cruise control is confirmed by a message on the instrument panel and indicator 7 lighting up green in addition to indicator 6.

Driving
Once a cruise speed is stored and cruise control is active, you may take your foot off the accelerator pedal.
! Caution: it is nevertheless advisable to keep your feet near the pedals so you are ready to act in an emergency.Changing the set speed

Adjusting the cruise speed
You can change the cruise control speed by repeatedly pressing:
- switch 2 (+) to increase the speed,
- switch 3 (-) to decrease the speed.
Exceeding the cruise control speed
At any time, you can exceed the set speed by pressing the accelerator pedal. While the set speed is exceeded, the set speed flashes on the instrument panel.
Then release the accelerator pedal. After a few seconds, the vehicle automatically returns to the original set speed.
Cruise control unable to maintain the speed
On a long steep downhill, the system cannot maintain the set speed: the stored speed flashes on the instrument panel to warn you.
Standby mode

Standby mode for the function
The function is placed on standby when you operate:
- the brake pedal;
- the clutch pedal, or shifting to neutral for vehicles with automatic transmission;
- switch 4 (O).
In all three cases, the set speed remains stored.
Standby mode is confirmed when the green indicator light goes off
and the message "in memory" appears on the instrument panel
Resuming the cruise control speed
If a speed is stored, you can recall it by pressing button 5 (R), provided you are driving at a speed above approximately 30 km/h and have checked that traffic, road surface, weather conditions, etc. are suitable.
Note: if the previously stored speed is much higher than the current speed, the vehicle will accelerate sharply up to that speed.
When cruise control is on standby, pressing button 2 (+) or 3 (-) reactivates the cruise control function regardless of the stored speed: the vehicle's current speed is used.
Cancelling the function

Turning the function off
The cruise control function is cancelled when you operate switch 1; in this case, no speed is stored.
Both green indicator lights go off
and
on the instrument panel goes out, confirming that the function is off.
