Parking assistance
Operating principle
Ultrasonic sensors, located in the rear bumper of the vehicle, "measure" the distance between the vehicle and an obstacle when reversing.
This measurement is indicated by beeps whose frequency increases as the obstacle gets closer, until they become a continuous tone when the obstacle is approximately 25 centimetres from the vehicle.
When reverse gear is engaged, a beep sounds. If the beep is long (3 seconds), it indicates a malfunction.
Note: make sure the ultrasonic sensors are not obstructed (dirt, mud, snow, etc.).

Parking Assist
! If the underbody of the vehicle is impacted (for example, contact with a bollard, a raised kerb or any other street furniture), you may damage the vehicle (for example, deforming an axle). To avoid any risk of accident, have your vehicle checked by an Authorised Dealer. ! This function is an additional aid that indicates, by means of audible signals, the distance between the vehicle and an obstacle when reversing. It can therefore in no way replace the driver's attention or responsibility when reversing. The driver must always be alert to sudden events that may occur while driving: always make sure there are no moving obstacles (such as a child, an animal, a pushchair, a bicycle, etc.) or obstacles that are too small or too thin (medium-sized stone, very thin post, etc.) during the manoeuvre.Temporary deactivation of the system (depending on vehicle)

Temporary deactivation of the system
Press switch 1 to deactivate the system.
The indicator built into the switch lights up to remind you that the system is deactivated.
Press it again to reactivate the system; the indicator will go off.
The system reactivates automatically after switching off the ignition and restarting the engine.
Permanent deactivation of the system
You can deactivate the system permanently by pressing and holding switch 1.
The indicator light built into the switch stays on permanently.
The deactivated system can be reactivated by pressing and holding the switch again.
Malfunction
When the system detects a malfunction, a beep sounds for about 3 seconds to warn you. Consult an Authorised Dealer.
