Spare wheel
In this manual: Practical advice
~1min read
To access it:
- open the boot and lift boot mats 1 and 2;
- remove the jack from its holder;
- unscrew the central fixing of the holder to remove it;
- remove the spare wheel.
Special case: The "tyre pressure monitoring system" function does not monitor the spare wheel (the wheel replaced by the spare disappears from the instrument panel display).
Refer to the "Tyre pressure monitoring system" section in chapter 2.
If the spare wheel has been stored for many years, have your garage check that it remains suitable and can be used safely.
Vehicles fitted with a spare wheel smaller than the other four wheels:
- Never fit more than one spare wheel to the same vehicle.
- Replace the spare wheel as soon as possible with a wheel of the same size as the original.
- During use, which must be temporary, the driving speed must not exceed the speed indicated on the label on the wheel.
- Fitting this wheel may change the normal handling of your vehicle. Avoid sudden acceleration or braking and reduce your speed when cornering.
- If you must use snow chains, fit them to the rear wheels and check the tyre pressures.
