DF020 PRESENT SPEEDOMETER INDEX PROGRAMMING

INSTRUCTIONS

Special notes : Nothing to report.

The ABS BOSCH 8.0 ECU with "speedometer function" supplies the vehicle speed signal to all users of this information in the vehicle (instrument panel, engine management, etc.).

This vehicle speed signal replaces the one supplied by the speed sensor located on the gearbox.

The ABS control unit calculates the vehicle speed from the wheel speeds and the rolling circumference of the tyres fitted to the vehicle.

Note: the vehicle speed is supplied by hard wire (pin 23) to the COSLAD control unit, the radio and the electric sunroof, and via the multiplexed network to the other control units.

The tyre rolling radius must be programmed into the memory of a new ECU. This consists of entering an index "X" using the diagnostic tool with the command VP007 "Odometer index".

After entering the index using command VP007, erase the control unit memory, then switch off the ignition.

Using parameter PR030, check that the entered index has been taken into account.

If the fault persists, contact your Techline.

AFTER REPAIR

Clear the ECU memory.

Carry out a road test, then check again with the diagnostic tool.

DF066 PRESENT OR STORED MULTIPLEXED INJECTION TRANSMISSION ABSENT

1.DEF: Apply the multiplexed network diagnostic procedure

INSTRUCTIONS

Special features: Although stored in the control unit, the fault does not come from ABS components but from injection components. An injection diagnosis must therefore be carried out.

Note: The injection system does not always store these intermittent faults as quickly as the ABS does.

If there is no fault stored in the injection control unit, start the engine and, if no fault appears, contact your Techline. After the problem in the injection system has been resolved, erase the fault memories of the ABS control unit.

The multiplexed injection transmission is sent to the ABS via the Protection and Switching Unit.
