To ensure the AEB system operates properly, always check that the radar sensor lens cover is clean and free of dirt, snow, and debris. Dirt, snow, or foreign substances on the lens may adversely affect radar detection performance.
Warning Message and Indicator

When the sensor lens cover is blocked by dirt, snow, or debris, AEB system operation may be temporarily unavailable. If this occurs, a warning message will appear on the LCD display. Remove the dirt, snow, or debris and clean the radar sensor lens cover before operating the AEB system.
NOTICE
- Do not attach foreign objects, such as bumper stickers or bumper guards, near the radar sensor. This may adversely affect radar recognition performance.
- Always keep the radar sensor and lens cover clean and free of dirt and debris.
- Use only a soft cloth when washing the vehicle. Do not spray water under high pressure directly at the sensor or sensor cover.
- Be careful not to apply unnecessary force to the radar sensor or sensor cover. If the sensor is forcibly moved out of its proper position, the AEB system may malfunction. In this case, a warning message may not be displayed. Have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- If the front bumper is damaged in the area of the radar sensor, the AEB system may not operate properly. Have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- Use only genuine HYUNDAI parts to repair or replace a damaged sensor or sensor cover. Do not paint the sensor cover.
