Driving Your Vehicle

Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

~1min read

The Electronic Stability Control (ESC) system helps stabilize the vehicle during cornering. ESC monitors the direction in which you steer and the direction in which the vehicle is actually traveling. ESC applies braking pressure to any one of the vehicle's brakes and intervenes in the engine control system to help the driver keep the vehicle on the intended path. It is not a substitute for safe driving. Always adjust your speed and driving to suit road conditions.

WARNING

Never drive too fast for road conditions or too fast through curves. The ESC system does not prevent accidents.

Excessive speed in curves, abrupt maneuvers, and hydroplaning on wet surfaces may result in serious accidents.
