Removal and Installation

  1. Remove the engine cover.
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the air cleaner assembly. (Refer to Intake and Exhaust System - "Air Cleaner")
  4. Remove the front muffler. (Intake and Exhaust System - "Muffler")
  5. Remove the intake hoses and intercooler tube (A). Tightening torque Bolt: 19.6 ~ 26 N·m Clamp: 4.9 ~ 6.8 N·m
  6. Remove the turbocharger actuator solenoid valve (A).
  7. Remove the intake pipe bracket (A). Bolt M8: 18.6 ~ 24 N·m Bolt M10: 29.4 ~ 34 N·m
  8. Remove the intake pipe (B) and gasket. Bolt: 29.4 ~ 39 N·m Nut: 35.3 ~ 41 N·m
  9. Remove the turbocharger water pipe and hose (A). Flange bolt: 9.8 ~ 11.8 N·m Banjo bolt: 26.4 ~ 32 N·m
  10. Remove the turbo manifold module heat shield (A).

    Tightening torque: 9.8 ~ 11.8 N·m

When installing, temporarily tighten the bolt, then fully tighten it to the specified torque.
  11. Remove the turbo DPF (A).

    Tightening torque:

  12. Remove the turbocharger oil supply pipe (A). M6 bolt: 9.8 ~ 11.8 N·m Banjo bolt: 11.8 ~ 17.6 N·m
When installing, completely remove oil from the mounting part and be careful not to let dust get inside. When installing the banjo bolt, make sure the stopper does not contact the compressor housing.
  13. Remove the turbocharger oil drain tube (A).

    Tightening torque: 9.8 ~ 11.8 N·m

When installing, completely remove oil from the mounting part.
  14. Remove the turbocharger support (A).

    Tightening Torque: 49.0 ~ 54 N·m

When installing, temporarily tighten the bolts in the order shown in the illustration, then fully tighten the bolts to the specified torque in order.
  15. Remove the turbo manifold module (A) and gasket.

    Tightening torque: 35.3 ~ 41 N·m

When installing, assemble it with the coated (black) side facing out. When installing, temporarily tighten the nut in the order shown in the illustration, then fully tighten the bolts to the specified torque in order.
  16. Install in the reverse order of removal.
When installing, replace with a new gasket. If the oil supply pipe and hose are damaged, the turbocharger may be damaged due to poor oil supply to the turbocharger. Be careful not to crush them.
