Inspection
[Fuel Sender]- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the (-) battery cable.
- Remove the fuel pump assembly.
- Using an ohmmeter, measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 6 of the sensor connector (A) at each float level.

Pin No. Description 1 Fuel Level Sensor Ground 2 Fuel pressure sensor (FPS) signal input 3 CAN [High] 4 Fuel Pressure Sensor (FPS)
Power supply (+5V)5 Fuel pressure sensor (FPS) ground (-) 6 Fuel Level Sensor Signal 7 - 8 CAN [Low] 9 Ground 10 Battery Power (B+) - Also check that the resistance changes smoothly when the float moves from the "E" position to the "F" position. [Analog Cluster Type]
Position Resistance (Ω) Capacity (?) E 298 ~ 305 3 1/2 80 ~ 84 35,7 F 14 ~ 16 68,6
[Digital Cluster Type]Position Resistance (Ω) Capacity (?) E 298 ~ 305 3 1/2 80 ~ 84 35,7 F 14 ~ 16 68,6
Removal
- Release the fuel line residual pressure. (Refer to Fuel System - "Release Fuel Line Residual Pressure")
- Raise the vehicle.
- Support the fuel tank with a jack.
- Pull the fuel tank downward after loosening the fastening nut (A) appropriately.

- Remove the rear seat cushion. (Refer to Body - "Rear Seat Assembly")
- Remove the fuel pump service cover (A).

- Disconnect the connector (A) of the fuel pump control module.
- Disconnect the quick-connector of the fuel supply tube (B).
- Disconnect the fuel pressure sensor connector (C).

- Remove the snap ring (A) using the special service tool (B) [No.: 09310-B9100].

- Remove the fuel pump from the fuel tank.

Installation
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Fuel pump plate cover bolt: 2.0 ~ 2.9 N·m
Be careful of the fuel pump direction (refer to the groove in the fuel tank).
