Before driving

Floor mat

Use only floor mats specifically designed for the same model and model year as your vehicle. Secure them firmly in place on the vehicle's carpet.

1. Insert the hooks (clips) into the floor mat eyelets.

2. Turn the upper stopper of each hook (clip) to secure the floor mats in place.

*: Always align the marks.

The shape of the hooks (clips) may differ from that shown in the illustration.

WARNING Observe the following precautions.

Failure to observe these precautions may cause the driver's floor mat to slip, interfering with the proper operation of the pedals while driving. As a result, the vehicle may accelerate to a higher speed than intended, or it may be difficult to stop. This could cause an accident resulting in SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH.

■ When installing the driver's side floor mat

• Do not use floor mats designed for other vehicle models or for vehicles of a different model year from your vehicle, even if they are genuine Toyota floor mats.
• Use only floor mats designed for the driver's seat.
• Always secure the mat firmly using the clips provided.
• Do not stack two or more floor mats on top of each other.
• Do not place the floor mat upside down or backwards.

■ Before driving

• Check that the floor mat is securely fastened in the correct position with the clips provided. Be sure to perform this check especially after cleaning the vehicle floor.
• With the engine off and the shift lever in N, fully depress each pedal, making sure the floor mat does not obstruct its travel in any way.
