Inspection and Replacement

PROCEDURE

1. Insert a large screwdriver or pry bar between the mount and the body as shown in the illustration, and try to move the mount.
2. The mount should move slightly but be firm enough; if the mount moves excessively, replace it.
3. To replace the mount, place a jack under the transmission, remove the nuts and bolts and remove the mount. It may be necessary to raise the transmission slightly to remove the mount.
4. Installation is the reverse of removal.
