Body
In this manual: Body
~1min read
A characteristic feature of the vehicle models described in this manual is unibody construction, in which a pan-shaped floor section is used together with front and rear side members. These support the body panels, the front and rear suspension systems and other mechanical components. Certain parts are especially vulnerable in an accident.
They can be unbolted and repaired or replaced. These include body moldings, bumpers, hood and trunk lids, and all glass.
This chapter contains information only on general body maintenance and repair procedures and body panel repair that can be performed by the owner.
