PROCEDURE

Adjustment is required for engines produced before 08.1985. From September 1985, diesel engines were fitted with hydraulic valve lifters, so valve clearance adjustment is no longer necessary. Adjustment is performed the same way as for gasoline engines with 1.6 and 1.8 L displacement.
