Removing

  • Remove front seat → Chapter.
  • Secure front seat on seat repair stand → Chapter.
  • Move front seat to highest position.
  • Remove seat trim on tunnel side → Chapter.
  • Turn adjustment knob of backrest adjustment towards front as far as stop.
  • Detach cable support bracket -2- of Bowden cable B from retainer for entry assistance on seat pan.
  • Detach eye -1- of Bowden cable B for entry assistance from pin of seat longitudinal adjustment.
Removing and installing Bowden cable B for entry assistance
  • Detach cable support bracket -1- of Bowden cable B from backrest fitting. To do this, release catch -arrow-.
  • Detach eye -2- of Bowden cable B for entry assistance from pin of backrest fitting using a screwdriver and remove it.

Installing

Installation is carried out in reverse order.
