The Rear Collision Warning¹ (RCW) function can help the driver avoid rear-end collisions from vehicles approaching from behind.

The function can alert drivers of following vehicles of the risk of a collision by rapidly flashing the turn signals.

Se, a una velocità inferiore a 30 km/h, la funzione rileva che il veicolo rischia di essere tamponato da dietro, i pretensionatori delle cinture di sicurezza possono pretensionare le cinture anteriori. Anche il sistema di protezione dal colpo di frusta verrà attivato in caso di collisione.

Immediatamente prima di una collisione posteriore, la funzione può anche attivare i freni per ridurre l'accelerazione in avanti del veicolo durante l'urto. The driver is always responsible for ensuring the vehicle is driven in a safe manner, at the appropriate speed, with an appropriate distance to other vehicles, and in accordance with current traffic rules and regulations.
