Correct seating position for rear passengers
In this manual: Safety
~1min read
If you are riding in the rear, you must sit upright, keep your feet on the floor and have fastened your seat belt correctly.
- To reduce the risk of injury in the event of sudden braking or an accident, rear passengers must:
- Adjust the head restraint so that its top edge is level with the top of the head.
- Keep their feet on the floor in front of the rear bench seat.
- Adjust their seat belt correctly.
- Use an appropriate child restraint system.
CAUTION!
- If you are riding in the rear and you adopt an incorrect seating position, you risk serious injury.
- Adjust the head restraint correctly to obtain optimal protection.
- Seat belts can only provide optimal protection if the seatback is upright and if you have correctly adjusted your seat belt. If the rear seatbacks are not upright, the risk of injury due to incorrect belt fit is high!
