Seat adjustment controls

The seat has several adjustment functions.

Some of the controls shown here are only available on certain model versions or are optional equipment.

Controls

(1) Fore/aft seat adjustment

(2) Seat height adjustment

(3) Lumbar support adjustment*

(4) Backrest recline adjustment

Fore-aft adjustment

• Pull lever (1) => fig. 89 upward and move the seat forward or backward.
• Release lever (1) and move the seat further until the locking mechanism engages.

CAUTION!

Only adjust the driver's seat fore/aft while the vehicle is stationary. Risk of accident!

Seat height adjustment

To raise the seat

• Pull lever (2) => fig. 89 upward repeatedly until the desired position is reached.

To lower the seat

• Push lever (2) downward repeatedly until the desired position is reached.

CAUTION!

• Only adjust the driver's seat height while the vehicle is stationary. Risk of accident!
• Be careful when adjusting the seat height! You may suffer bruises if you adjust your seat carelessly or if you accidentally operate the adjustment control.

Backrest tilt adjustment

• Relieve the backrest (do not lean against the backrest).
• Turn the wheel (4), fig. 89 to adjust the backrest angle.

CAUTION!

The front seat backrests must not be reclined too far back while driving; otherwise, the effectiveness of the seat belts and the airbag system may be greatly reduced. Risk of injury!

(3) Seat cushion tilt adjustment

Fore-aft adjustment

• Pull lever (1) => fig. 90 upward and move the seat forward or rearward.
• Release lever (1) and move the seat further until the locking mechanism engages.

CAUTION!

Only adjust the driver's seat longitudinally when the vehicle is stationary. Risk of accident!

Seat cushion

Changing the length

• Lift the button (2) =0, fig. 90
• Move the seat to the desired position. •

Seat cushion height adjustment

• Pull lever (3) => fig. 90 upward and change the seat position by shifting your body weight.

CAUTION!

• Only adjust the driver's seat cushion when the vehicle is stationary. Risk of accident!
• Be careful when adjusting the seat cushion! You may suffer bruises if you adjust your seat carelessly or if you accidentally operate the adjustment control.
