Welcome lighting and Follow-me-home lighting

The welcome lighting in the BMW 5 Series (7th generation) provides stylish and safe illumination around the vehicle when it is unlocked. It automatically activates the parking lights and tail lights. The duration and extent can be individually configured via iDrive. Follow-me-home lighting is also included: after leaving the vehicle, the low beam remains on for a set time to light the way. Both functions contribute to comfort, safety, and a high-quality driving experience, especially in dark surroundings or on poorly lit parking areas.
