RDS Functions The convenient RDS functions AF (alternative frequency) and REGIONAL expand the capabilities of the radio.

• AF function: When RDS mode is on, the radio automatically tunes to the frequency providing the best reception of the current station.
• REGIONAL function: Sometimes some stations broadcast a program whose content differs by region.

If the user does not want the radio to switch to alternative frequencies that carry different programs on the same frequency, they can turn on the REG function.
