Turning the Radio On and Off
There are several ways to turn the radio on and off.
Turning on/off with the ignition switch:
If the radio is correctly connected to the vehicle ignition system and was not turned off with button 1, the radio will turn on and off automatically with the ignition.
Turning on/off with the removable control panel:
Remove the control panel by pressing button 2.
The radio turns off.
Install the control panel in place.
The radio turns on. The last function used (radio, CD/MP3* player, CD changer or AUX) starts operating.
Turning on/off with button 1
To turn on the radio, press button 1.
To turn off the radio, press and hold button 1 for more than two seconds.
The radio turns off.
• To prevent discharge of the vehicle battery, the radio turns off automatically one hour after the ignition is switched off.
Turning on by inserting a compact disc When the radio is off and there is no compact disc in it,
carefully insert the disc label side up into the radio slot until light resistance is felt. The mechanism will then automatically draw the disc in and load it. Do not hold the disc or obstruct its loading in any way! The radio will turn on and start playing the compact disc.
• To start CD playback if the ignition was switched off before the disc was loaded, first turn on the radio with button 1.
