There is a way to access economy mode without meeting the normal activation conditions. It is enough for the BSI to be configured in factory mode by recoding.

Factory mode has two specific features:

  • Ability to enter the engine-running main state without actually starting the engine, in order to test high electrical consumers on the production line.
  • Reduce electrical consumption as early as possible outside test phases.

In factory configuration, there is no load shedding or load-up.

Factory mode is accessible via the diagnostic tool.

Note: Factory economy mode is not completely identical to customer economy mode.

Description of fleet (storage) mode

Some equipment, in particular the BSI, has a permanent consumption. To limit battery discharge during storage, a shunt supplying +BAT to the permanently powered control modules is removed. The power supply to the equipment is restored when +APC appears, thanks to the fleet fuse before storage.
