PREAMBLE
Manual air conditioning
The manual air conditioning system allows the user to request compressor engagement to produce cold air by simply pressing a dedicated button.
Temperature, airflow and air distribution are adjusted manually by the user.
Automatic air conditioning
The automatic air conditioning system automatically maintains the set point selected by the user.
Automatic climate control acts on the following:
- airflow,
- cabin air temperature, measured by 2 sensors (left and right),
- air distribution in the cabin (air outlet distribution),
- air recirculation.
The desired temperature is obtained by mixing cold and hot air through the correct positioning of the blend flap, driven by a stepper motor.
- Heating is provided by the heater matrix of the engine cooling circuit.
- Cooling is produced by a conventional refrigeration system through an evaporator.
- Airflow is produced by a DC motor (blower).
- Air distribution and air intake are controlled by flaps driven by stepper motors.
Note: The control panel also includes control of the heated rear window, which is completely independent of the other air conditioning functions.

Display
Simple cooling
The simple cooling function has no dedicated display.
Automatic climate control
The display is provided by a screen integrated into the climate control panel.
The display provides the following functions:
- showing the user's selections and the system status,
- providing feedback to the user on the actions performed,
- indicating any system faults.
Control panel lighting
Simple cooling
The lighting logic of the automatic climate control panel is as follows:

Note: The indicator lights for cooling, recirculation and defrost functions come on when the respective functions are activated, regardless of other conditions.
Automatic climate control
The lighting logic of the automatic climate control panel is as follows:

Other lighting management features:
- in "night driving" mode, the display does not turn off while the defrost function and/or the visibility function is active,
- the display lights up for 16 seconds for any action on the control panel.
