"Kick-down" function

(depending on version/market, where fitted)

When necessary (e.g. when overtaking), pressing the accelerator pedal fully past the detent point, the system downshifts one or more gears (if engine speed conditions allow) so as to provide the power and torque needed to give the vehicle the acceleration requested by the driver.

WARNING To avoid increasing fuel consumption, use the "Kick-down" function only for overtaking or rapid acceleration.
