ABS (Anti-lock Braking System)

~1min read

This is a system integrated with the braking system which prevents the wheels from locking, and consequently one or more wheels from skidding, under all grip conditions and braking intensities, thus ensuring control of the vehicle even during emergency braking. The ABS system also includes the following systems: EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution) and HBA (Hydraulic Brake Assist).

System intervention: felt as a slight pulsation of the brake pedal, accompanied by a specific noise. This means you must adjust your speed to the type of road you are travelling on. WARNING For maximum braking system efficiency, a mileage of about 500 km is required. During this period, avoid harsh, frequent and prolonged braking.

MBA system (mechanical brake assist) (For versions/markets where provided)

This system cannot be switched off. It recognises emergency braking (based on the speed of brake pedal application) and increases hydraulic braking pressure, thus assisting the driver and enabling faster and more effective braking.
