Use the correct bulb.

Install in the reverse order, unless otherwise specified.

Headlamp

Ford Fusion. Changing a Bulb
  1. High beam headlamp.
  2. Low beam headlamp.

Low Beam Headlamp

  1. Carefully remove the cover.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  3. Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it.

High Beam

  1. Carefully remove the cover.
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  3. Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it.

Front Halogen Fog Lamp

  1. Remove the fog lamp cover using a flat-blade screwdriver.
  2. Remove the three retainers using a screwdriver.
  3. Remove the bulb.

  4. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  5. Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it.
  6. Install a new bulb in the reverse order.

LED Lamps

LED bulbs are not serviceable. Have your vehicle checked as soon as possible.

The following lamps may be LED:

  • Front side marker lamps.
  • Front turn signal lamps.
  • Daytime running lamps.
  • Side turn signal lamps.
  • Center high-mounted stop lamp.
  • Rear turn signal lamps.
  • Brake and tail lamps.
  • Front fog lamps.

Back-up lamps.

1. Carefully remove the plastic clips retaining the inner cover.

2. Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it.

  1. Press in on the bulb, and turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it.

License plate lamp

Ford Fusion. Changing a Bulb
  1. Use a suitable tool, such as a screwdriver, to carefully remove the lamp.
  2. Remove the bulb.
  3. Turn the bulb holder counterclockwise and remove it.
  4. Remove the bulb by pulling it straight out.
