Checking the Wiper Blades

Run your fingertips along the edge of the blade to check for roughness.

Clean the wiper blades with washer fluid or water applied with a soft sponge or cloth.

Replacement of Wiper Blades

The wiper arms can be moved by hand with the ignition off. This makes it easier to replace the blade and clean under the blade.

  1. Pull the wiper blade and arm away from the glass. Press the button lock together.
  2. Rotate and remove the wiper blade.
  3. Install in the reverse order.

Replace wiper blades at least once a year for optimum performance.

Poor wiper performance can be improved by cleaning the wiper blades and windshield.
