Pairing your mobile phone with the system wirelessly allows you to make and receive hands-free calls.

Note: Turn the ignition on and switch on the radio.

Note: To scroll through the menus, press the up and down arrows on the audio system.
  1. Make sure the Bluetooth function on your mobile phone is turned on before starting the search. If necessary, refer to the phone's manual.
  2. Press the PHONE button. When the audio display shows that no phones are paired, select the option to add one.
  3. When a message on the audio display prompts you to start pairing, search for SYNC on your mobile phone to start the pairing process.
  4. Select SYNC on your mobile phone.
  5. Wait for the PIN to appear on the phone's display. Compare the PIN on the phone with the PIN shown on the audio unit display, then accept the request on the phone and on the vehicle display. The display shows whether pairing was successful.
Note: Some phones may ask you to enter a PIN. Enter the six-digit PIN provided by the system on the audio display. The display shows whether pairing was successful.

Depending on your mobile phone's capabilities and the market, the system may ask, for example, whether you want to set the current phone as the primary phone (the phone the system automatically tries to connect to first when the vehicle starts) or download the phonebook.

The information display can show the mobile phone battery charge level and signal strength.
