Hands-free calling is one of the main functions of the SYNC system. While the system supports a range of functions, many depend on the features of your mobile phone.

At a minimum, most mobile phones with Bluetooth wireless technology support the following functions:

  • Answering an incoming call.
  • Ending a call.
  • Using private mode.
  • Dialing a number.
  • Redialing.
  • Call waiting notification.
  • Caller ID.
Other functions, such as text messaging via Bluetooth and automatic phonebook download, depend on the mobile phone. To check your phone's compatibility, see the phone's manual or visit your regional Ford website.
