Using the Air Conditioner

For vehicles equipped with an air conditioning system

Operating the air conditioning system places an additional load on the vehicle engine. Monitor the engine coolant temperature gauge.

If the gauge needle moves into the red zone, temporarily turn off the air conditioner until the engine temperature returns to normal.

1. Turn on the air conditioner by pressing the A/C switch. The indicator built into the switch illuminates after the blower speed is selected.

2. Select the lowest temperature.

3. Select the windshield defroster mode..

4. When outside humidity is high, select recirculation mode. When outside humidity is low, select fresh air mode.

5. Select the blower speed.

If the temperature inside the vehicle is high, you can quickly reduce it as follows:

Open the windows slightly, turn on the air conditioning and set the fan speed to maximum in fresh air mode.
