Driving the Vehicle

Driving Recommendations

~1min read

Your vehicle has increased ground clearance, which allows you to drive over bumps, other obstacles, and off-road surfaces. It also provides good visibility, so you can spot obstacles in advance.

Because the vehicle sits higher above the road surface, its center of gravity is also higher.

This means that your vehicle may roll over during sharp turns. Sport utility vehicles are much more prone to rollover than other vehicles.

To avoid losing control of the vehicle or rolling over, follow the recommendations below:

• Take turns at a lower speed than with ordinary passenger cars.

• Avoid sharp turns and maneuvers whenever possible.

• Do not make modifications to the vehicle that increase the height of the center of gravity.

• Do not carry heavy loads on the vehicle roof.

Your vehicle is equipped with an all-wheel drive (4WD) system. If the system detects a reduction in front wheel traction with the road surface, part of the torque is automatically directed to the rear wheels. This helps increase the total traction of the wheels and ensures vehicle capability.

Even so, you should observe the same precautions when accelerating, maneuvering, and braking as you would when driving a two-wheel-drive vehicle.
