Manual transmission

Synchronizers are fitted to all forward gears to ensure smooth gear shifting. The transmission is equipped with a blocking device that prevents direct shifting from any forward gear into reverse.
When shifting gears, first fully depress the clutch pedal, then shift the gear, and finally release the clutch pedal smoothly. If you are not shifting gears, do not rest your foot on the clutch pedal. This may cause rapid clutch wear.
Before engaging reverse gear, wait until the vehicle has come to a complete stop. Engaging reverse gear before the vehicle has fully stopped may damage the transmission. Before engaging reverse or any forward gear, fully depress the clutch pedal and wait a few seconds. This ensures smooth gear engagement without grinding.
When reducing vehicle speed, you can shift to a lower gear to obtain additional engine braking. This driving technique allows you to maintain a safe speed when descending steep grades and prevents the brakes from overheating.
Before downshifting, make sure the tachometer needle will not enter the red zone. When shifting gears, refer to the vehicle speed values below.
Rapid acceleration or deceleration on a slippery road surface may cause the vehicle to skid.
This may result in a serious accident with severe injuries.
Exercise extreme caution when driving on slippery roads.
Do not rest your hand on the shift lever. Pressure from your hand transmitted to the shift mechanism components may cause premature wear.
