FCA Sensor (Front Radar / Front Camera)

■ Front Radar

■ Front Camera
For the FCA system to operate properly, always make sure the sensor cover is clean and free of dirt, snow, and debris.
Dirt, snow, or foreign matter on the sensor cover or sensor may adversely affect sensor sensitivity.
NOTICE
- Do not attach a license plate frame or foreign objects, such as a bumper sticker or protective bumper film, near the sensor. This may adversely affect radar sensitivity.
- Always keep the sensor and cover clean and free of dirt and debris.
- Use only a soft cloth when washing the vehicle. Do not spray water under high pressure directly at the sensor or sensor cover.
- Be careful not to apply excessive force to the sensor or sensor cover. If the sensor is forced out of proper alignment, the FCA system may not operate properly. In this case, the warning message may not be displayed. Have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- If the front bumper is damaged in the area of the sensor, the FCA system may not operate properly. Have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- Use only genuine HYUNDAI parts to repair or replace a damaged sensor or sensor cover. Do not paint the sensor cover.
NOTICE
- NEVER install any accessories or stickers on the front windshield or tinted windshield.
- NEVER place any reflective objects (for example, white paper or a mirror) on the emergency pad. Any light reflection may prevent the system from operating correctly.
- Be extremely careful to keep the camera dry.
- NEVER disassemble the camera assembly or subject the camera to any impact.
- If the sensor is forcibly moved out of proper alignment, the FCA system may not operate correctly. In this case, a warning message may not be displayed. Have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
Information
Contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer to inspect the system if:
- The windshield has been replaced.
- The radar sensor or cover is damaged or has been replaced.
Warning Message and Indicator

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) is turned off. Radar blocked
When the sensor cover is blocked by dirt, snow, or debris, the FCA system will not be able to detect other vehicles. If this occurs, a warning message will appear on the LCD display. The system will operate normally once such dirt, snow, or debris is removed.
FCA may not operate properly in an area (for example, open terrain) where no objects or vehicles are detected after the engine is started.
