Rear Door Child Safety Locks

~1min read

Child safety locks are provided to help prevent rear-seat children from accidentally opening the rear doors.

Always use the child safety locks on the rear doors whenever children are in the vehicle. The child safety lock is located on the edge of each rear door. When the child safety lock is in the locked position, the rear door cannot be opened from the inside even if the inside door handle is pulled.

To lock the child safety lock, insert the key (or a screwdriver) (1) into the slot and turn it to the locked position.

To open the rear door from the inside of the vehicle, unlock the child safety lock.

WARNING

If children accidentally open a rear door while the vehicle is moving, they may fall out of the vehicle. Always use the rear door child safety locks whenever children are in the vehicle.
