Dynamometer Testing

~1min read

All-wheel drive vehicles must be tested on a special four-wheel chassis dynamometer.

All-wheel drive vehicles cannot be tested on a 2WD tester. If a 2WD roller tester must be used, follow this procedure:

1. Check the recommended tire pressure for your vehicle.

2. Place the rear wheels on the speedometer roller tester as shown in the illustration.

3. Release the parking brake.

4. Position the front wheels on the temporary free roller as shown in the illustration.

WARNING

Stay clear of the front of the vehicle while it is in gear on the dynamometer. The vehicle may jump forward and cause serious injury or death.
