Checking the Washer Fluid Level

The reservoir is transparent so that the level can be checked with a quick visual inspection.

Check the fluid level in the reservoir and add fluid as necessary. If washer fluid is not available, water can be used. However, in cold climates, use a windshield washer solvent with antifreeze properties.

WARNING - Coolant - Do not use radiator coolant or antifreeze in the washer fluid reservoir. - Radiator coolant can significantly reduce visibility if sprayed onto the windshield, resulting in loss of vehicle control and damage to paint and bodywork. - Washer fluid agents contain some alcohol and may be flammable under certain circumstances. Do not allow sparks or flames to contact the fluid or the fluid reservoir. Damage to the vehicle or occupants may occur. - Washer fluid is poisonous to humans and animals. Do not drink it and avoid contact. Serious injury or death may result.
