Automatic Reverse

~1min read
Hyundai i30. Automatic reverse

If the window detects an obstacle while it is closing automatically, it will stop and lower approximately 30 cm (12 in.) to allow the object to be cleared.

If the window detects resistance while the power window switch is continuously pulled up, the window will stop its upward movement, then lower approximately 2.5 cm (1 in.).

If the power window switch is pulled continuously again within 5 seconds after the window lowers due to the automatic reverse function, the automatic reverse function of the window will not operate.

Information

The automatic reverse function is only active when the "Auto Up" function is used, by fully pulling the switch to the second detent.

WARNING

Make sure body parts or other objects are safely clear of the window before closing it to avoid injury or vehicle damage.

Objects less than 4 mm (0.16 in.) in diameter between the window glass and the upper part of the window channel cannot be detected by the automatic reverse function, and the window will not stop and reverse direction.

NOTICE

Do not install any accessories on the windows. The automatic reverse function may not operate properly.
