Exhaust System (DPF) Warning Light
Exhaust System (DPF) Warning Light (for diesel engine, if equipped)

This indicator light illuminates:
• When there is a malfunction in the diesel particulate filter (DPF) system.
When this warning light illuminates, it may turn off after driving the vehicle:
- at speeds above 37 mph (60 km/h), or
- above 2nd gear with engine speed between 1500 and 2500 rpm for a certain period of time (for approximately 25 minutes).
If this light flashes despite the procedure (a warning message will appear on the LCD), we recommend that you have the DPF system checked by an authorized HYUNDAI service technician.
NOTICE
If you continue driving with the DPF warning light flashing for a long time, the DPF system may be damaged and fuel economy may deteriorate.

When this warning light illuminates, it may turn off after driving the vehicle:

If this light flashes despite the procedure (a warning message will appear on the LCD), we recommend that you have the GPF system checked by an authorized HYUNDAI service technician.

Glow Plug Indicator Light (for diesel engine)

This indicator light comes on:
• When the engine is warming up with the ignition switch or Engine Start/Stop button in the ON position.
- The engine can be started after the indicator light turns off.
- The illumination time varies depending on engine coolant temperature, air temperature, and battery condition.
If the indicator remains on or flashes after the engine has warmed up or while driving, a malfunction may have occurred in the glow plug system.
In this case, we recommend that you have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI service center.
Information
If the engine does not start within 10 seconds after preheating is completed, turn the ignition switch or Engine Start/Stop button to LOCK or OFF, wait 10 seconds, then turn it to the ON position in sequence to preheat the engine again.
