Gauges and Meters
Speedometer

The speedometer shows the vehicle speed and is calibrated in kilometers per hour (km/h) and/or miles per hour (MPH).
Tachometer

The tachometer shows the approximate engine speed in revolutions per minute (rpm).
Use the tachometer to select the correct shift points and to avoid lugging and/or over-revving the engine.
NOTICE
Do not run the engine in the RED ZONE of the tachometer. This may cause serious engine damage.
Measuring Engine Coolant Temperature

This gauge shows the engine coolant temperature when the ignition switch is in the ON position.
NOTICE
If the gauge pointer moves out of the normal range toward the "130" position, this indicates overheating, which may damage the engine.
Do not continue driving with an overheated engine. If your vehicle overheats, refer to "If the Engine Overheats" in Chapter 6.
WARNING
Never remove the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Engine coolant is under pressure and may cause severe burns. Wait until the engine has cooled before adding coolant to the reservoir.
Fuel Gauge

Information
- Refer to Section 8 for the fuel tank capacity.
- The fuel gauge is supplemented by a low fuel warning light, which illuminates when the fuel tank is nearly empty.
- On uphill grades or curves, the fuel gauge pointer may fluctuate, or the low fuel warning light may illuminate earlier than usual due to fuel movement in the tank.
WARNING
Running out of fuel may put the vehicle occupants in danger.
You should stop and obtain additional fuel as soon as possible after the warning light illuminates or when the gauge pointer approaches the "0" level.
NOTICE
Avoid driving with an extremely low fuel level. Running out of fuel may cause engine misfires and damage to the catalytic converter.
Outside Air Temperature Gauge

This gauge shows the outside air temperature in either Celsius (°C) or Fahrenheit (°F).
- Temperature range: -40°C ~ 60 °C
The outside temperature display may not change immediately like a conventional thermometer, so as not to distract the driver.
The temperature unit (from °C to °F or from °F to °C) can be changed:
- User Settings Mode in Cluster: You can change the temperature unit in the "Other Features — Temperature Unit" menu.
- Automatic Climate Control System: While the OFF button is pressed, press and hold the AUTO button for 3 seconds or more.
The temperature unit of the cluster and the automatic climate control system will change at the same time.
Odometer

The odometer shows the total distance the vehicle has been driven and should be used to determine when periodic maintenance is required.
Distance to Empty

- The estimated distance to empty is the distance the vehicle can travel on the remaining fuel.
- If the estimated distance is below 1 mile (1 km), the trip computer displays "---" as the distance to empty.
Information
- If the vehicle is not on level ground or the battery power has been interrupted, the distance to empty function may not operate correctly.
- The distance to empty may differ from the actual driving distance, as it is an estimate of the available driving distance.
- The trip computer may not register the added fuel if less than 6 liters (1.3 L gal.) of fuel is added to the vehicle.
- The distance to empty may vary significantly depending on driving conditions, driving style and vehicle condition.
