Climate Control Air Filter

Hyundai i30. System maintenance

This filter is installed behind the glove box. It filters dust and other contaminants entering the vehicle through the heating and air conditioning system.

We recommend that the climate control air filter be replaced at an Authorized HYUNDAI Service Center according to the maintenance schedule. If the vehicle is operated in severe conditions such as dusty or rough roads, more frequent climate control filter inspections and replacements are required.

If the airflow volume decreases significantly, we recommend having the system inspected at an Authorized HYUNDAI Service Center.

NOTICE

It is important that the correct type and amount of oil and refrigerant are used. Otherwise, damage to the compressor and abnormal system operation may occur.

Inspecting the Air Conditioning Refrigerant Amount and Compressor Lubricant

When the refrigerant amount is low, air conditioning performance is reduced. Overcharging also reduces air conditioning system performance.

Therefore, if abnormal operation is found, we recommend that the system be inspected by an Authorized HYUNDAI repairer.

WARNING

The actual air conditioner refrigerant label in the vehicle may differ from the illustration.

Each symbol and specification on the air conditioning refrigerant label has the meaning shown below:

1. Refrigerant classification
2. Refrigerant quantity
3. Compressor lubricant classification

You can determine which air conditioning refrigerant is used in your vehicle from the label located inside the hood.

Refer to Chapter 8 for the location of the air conditioning refrigerant label.
