Hand

Always apply the parking brake before leaving the vehicle. Proceed as follows: Firmly depress the brake pedal.

Pull the parking brake lever up as far as it will go.

Foot

To apply the parking brake, depress the brake pedal and press the parking brake pedal down fully.

WARNING

To reduce the risk of SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH, do not use the parking brake while the vehicle is moving, except in an emergency. This may damage the brake system and cause an accident.
