General Precautions for Interior Care

Avoid contact of perfume, cosmetic oil, sunscreen, hand cleaner, and air freshener with vehicle interior components. This may cause damage or discoloration. If they come into contact, wipe them off immediately.

For additional information on cleaning vinyl, refer to the instructions below.

WARNING

Never allow water or other liquids to contact vehicle electrical/electronic components, as this may cause damage.

WARNING

When cleaning leather parts (steering wheel, seats, etc.), use neutral detergents or low-alcohol solutions. Using high-alcohol solutions or acidic/alkaline cleaners may discolor or damage the leather surface.

Cleaning Upholstery and Interior Trim

Vinyl

Remove dust and dirt from vinyl using a brush or vacuum cleaner. Clean surfaces with a vinyl cleaner.

Cloth

Remove dust and dirt from fabric using a whisk brush or vacuum cleaner. Wash with a mild soap solution recommended for upholstery or carpets. Remove stains immediately with a fabric stain remover. If stains are not removed immediately, they may penetrate the fabric and cause discoloration. In addition, fabric that is not properly maintained may lose its flame resistance.

WARNING

Use only recommended cleaning agents and follow the procedures applicable to maintaining the appearance and flame resistance of the fabric.

Cleaning Three-Point Seat Belts

Clean the webbing of three-point seat belts with a mild soap solution recommended for upholstery or carpets. Follow the soap manufacturer's instructions. Do not bleach or dye the belts, as this may damage them.

Interior Window Cleaning

If a film (oily, greasy, or waxy) forms on the inside surfaces of the windows, remove it with a window cleaner. Follow the product instructions.

WARNING

Do not scratch or scrape the inside of the rear window. You could damage the defroster.
