Hot waxes used at car washes can make the windshield difficult to clean.

Contamination of the windshield or wiper blades by foreign substances affects wiper performance.

Common sources of contamination include insects, tree sap, and hot wax treatments applied at some car washes. If the blades do not operate properly, clean them and the windshield with a suitable cleaner or mild detergent, and rinse thoroughly with clean water.

NOTICE

To protect the wiper blades, do not use gasoline, kerosene, thinner, or other solvents on or near them.
