2. Press the release button (1) located inside the bottom of the mechanical key cover using a flat-head screwdriver.

3. Carefully pull the cover outward while continuing to press the release button to remove the cover and expose the key cylinder.

4. Insert the mechanical key into the key cylinder and turn clockwise to unlock the vehicle, or counterclockwise to lock the vehicle.

Once the doors are unlocked, they can be opened by pulling the door handle.

Information

Be careful when locking/unlocking with the mechanical key, as only the driver's door can be locked/unlocked.

Information

  • Do not scratch or damage the plastic material. Do not lose the key cylinder cover.
  • If attempting to remove the key cylinder cover in cold climates or sub-zero temperatures, use additional caution. If the key cylinder cover is frozen and cannot be easily removed, gently tap the cover or try to warm it by covering it with your hands and blowing warm air on it, etc.
  • Do not apply excessive force to the door and door handle. It may be damaged.

Deleted key

To lock the doors, press the Door Lock button (1) on the remote key.

To unlock the doors, press the Door Unlock button (2) on the remote key.

Once the doors are unlocked, they can be opened by pulling the door handle.

When closing the door, push on the door by hand. Make sure the doors are closed securely.

Smart Key

Press the button on the outside of the driver's door handle, or touch the sensor on the door handle (the engraved area) while carrying the Smart Key, or press the unlock button on the Smart Key. The driver's door will unlock. If you press the button on the front outside passenger's door handle, all doors will unlock.

After the doors are unlocked, they can be opened by pulling the door handle. When closing the door, push on the door with your hand. Make sure the doors are closed securely.

Information

  • In cold and humid climates, the door lock and door mechanisms may not operate properly due to freezing conditions.
  • If the door is locked/unlocked several times in quick succession with the vehicle key or door lock switch, the system may temporarily stop operating to protect the circuit and prevent damage to system components.

In an emergency

If the power door lock switch does not operate (for example, due to a discharged vehicle battery), the only way to lock the door(s) is with the mechanical key from the outside key hole.

Doors without an outside key hole can be locked as follows:

1. Open the door.

2. Insert the key into the emergency key hole in the door lock and turn the key horizontally to lock.

3. Close the door firmly.

Information

If power to the door lock switch is not available (for example, due to a discharged vehicle battery) and the trunk is closed, you will not be able to open the trunk until power is restored.
