Owner Maintenance
WARNING
Performing maintenance work on a vehicle can be dangerous. If you do not have sufficient knowledge and experience, or the proper tools and equipment to do the work, have it done by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer. ALWAYS observe the following precautions when performing maintenance work:
- Park the vehicle on a level surface. Shift the vehicle into P (Park), apply the parking brake, and turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
- Block the wheels (front and rear) to prevent the vehicle from moving. Remove loose clothing or jewelry that could get caught in moving parts.
- If you must run the engine during maintenance, do so outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
- Keep flames, sparks, or smoking materials away from the battery and fuel-related parts.
WARNING
Touching metal parts
Do not touch metal parts (including spacers) while the engine is running or hot. This may cause serious personal injury. Turn the engine off and wait until the metal parts cool down before performing maintenance on the vehicle.
The following lists are vehicle checks and inspections that should be performed by the owner or an authorized HYUNDAI dealer at the intervals shown to help ensure safe, reliable operation of your vehicle.
Any adverse conditions should be reported to your dealer as soon as possible.
These owner maintenance checks and inspections are generally not covered by warranty, and you may be charged for labor, replacement parts, and lubricants.
