Wipers
Blade Inspection
Contamination of the windshield or wiper blades with foreign matter can reduce wiper performance.
Common sources of contamination include insects, tree sap, and hot wax treatments used by some commercial car washes. If the blades do not wipe properly, clean both the window and the blades with a good cleaner or mild detergent and rinse thoroughly with clean water.
NOTICE
To avoid damaging the wiper blades, wiper arms, or other components, do not:
- Use gasoline, kerosene, paint thinner, or other solvents on or near the blades.
- Attempt to move the wipers by hand.
- Use wiper blades other than those specified.
Information
Commercial hot waxes applied at automatic car washes may make it difficult to clean the windshield.
Information
Wiper blades are consumable items. Normal wiper wear may not be covered by your vehicle warranty.
