Inspecting Power Steering Fluid Level

Check the power steering fluid reservoir level periodically.

At normal temperature, the fluid level should be between the MAX and MIN marks on the side of the reservoir.

Before adding fluid, thoroughly clean the area around the reservoir cap to prevent contamination of the fluid.

If the level is low, add fluid up to the "MAX" mark.

NOTE

Make sure the fluid level is within the "HOT" range marked on the reservoir. If the fluid is cold, make sure the level is within the "COLD" range (if equipped).

If power steering fluid must be added frequently, the vehicle should be inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

Use only the recommended power steering fluid. (Refer to "Recommended Lubricants and Capacities" in Section 8).
