Replacing an Interior Fuse

1. Turn the ignition switch and all other switches to the OFF position.
2. Open the fuse panel cover.

3. Remove the suspected fuse by pulling it straight out.
Use the fuse puller located on the passenger's side panel.
4. Inspect the removed fuse. If it is blown, replace it with a new one.
5. Insert a new fuse of the same amperage rating and make sure it is firmly seated in the clips.

If the clips are loose, consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

If no spare fuses are available, you may temporarily use a fuse of the same rating from a circuit for non-essential equipment, such as the cigar lighter.

If the headlights or other electrical devices do not operate and the interior fuses are good, check the fuse panel in the engine compartment. If a fuse is blown, replace it.

Memory Fuse

The vehicle is equipped with a memory fuse to prevent battery discharge when the vehicle is parked for an extended period with the engine off. Before parking the vehicle for a long period, perform the following.

1. Stop the engine.
2. Turn off the headlights and parking lights.
3. Open the driver's side panel cover and remove the memory fuse.

NOTE

• If the memory fuse is removed from the fuse panel, the horn, audio system, clock, interior lights, etc. will not operate. After the fuse is reinstalled, some devices will need to be reset. (Refer to "Battery" in this section.)
• Even with the memory fuse removed, the battery may continue to discharge due to the headlights or other electrical devices being on.
